Success
  • Cultural shift: Introduced user-centred practices that changed how product decisions were made, embedding research and design thinking into a fast-moving startup environment. We grew out design team headcount from 3 to 6 members in the team.

  • Clarity and consistency: The design system unified core features like wallets, dashboard, trading, VIP rewards, affiliate program, account management and more across web and mobile.

  • 25+ projects and features shipped: All designs were produced of highest standards from the team and myself, with strict user-centred practices in place. The products outlasted the company itself, influencing coinFLEX's white-label products.

Overview

The Herd was a test-bed DeFi governance and staking platform built as OPNX’s decentralised counterpart. It explored how staking could go beyond financial incentives to foster community participation, align user engagement with long-term commitment, and serve as a testing ground for on-chain rewards such as real-world assets (RWA).

It's purpose was to open up governance and participation in the ecosystem. At its core, the platform aimed to reward long-term commitment. The Herd was meant to be both a rewards mechanism and a structural link that tied together community engagement, user incentives, and OPNX’s broader trading ecosystem. The longer and larger the stake, the greater the influence and potential benefits.
